I'm Brazilian, I've consumed this brand my whole life and I'm very picky when it comes to coffee. I've been in US for 6 months and I just can't enjoy the regular coffee sold on supermarkets, here. I've ordered a pack of Melitta Extra Forte, and the date of manufacture is March 2012. Almost an year ago. I've payed the equivalent of 10 times the original price it is sold in Brazil. Ten times the original price. So, I wasn't waiting for an old nasty product that, although can be sold up to September 2013, is not faithful to its properties anymore. It has to be as fresh as possible, please, please, please.

I like the taste of coffee and drink mine black, although not usually as strong as this coffee appeared to be. However, though strong there was no bitterness. Very tasty brew.

This coffee is only marketed in Brazil. I contacted Melitta a while ago and they said they had no plans to market it outside of the country. It is a great coffee, different from most available in the US. No bitterness, full flavor and STRONG! I originally encountered it about 15 years ago when a friend who went to Brazil asked some locals what they liked the best. They said it was this so he brought me some. I have been a fan ever since.
